Spartan Shield Broadcast was established in 2018, with the first episode airing on October 3rd, 2018. The broadcast journalism department of Huntington Park Senior High entrusts the appointed position of Broadcast Director with the responsibilities of upholding the journalistic integrity of the publication, setting the strategic direction by establishing the tone and digital media agenda, leading anchors, writers, producers, editors, and reporters, and being the public-facing figure.
