Lemonade is Beyoncé’s sixth solo studio album and was released on April 23, 2016 exclusively on Tidal. It was a concept album and was accompanied by a sixty-five minute film that aired on HBO. It was the third best selling album of 2016 in the U.S. Furthermore, as of April of 2017, it has accumulated $3,500,000 worth of sales worldwide. However, those number is sure to grow this year.
Beyoncé released Lemonade on all streaming platforms on April 23, 2019. The three-year anniversary of the initial release date of Lemonade. The album included the 12 songs that the album had initially but it now includes the demo of ‘Sorry’, which was one of the more popular songs off of the album. It also came with the video, “Formation (Choreography Version).”. Furthermore, even after 3 years, the Lemonade album was back in the top 10 of Billboard 200 charts at no. 9. She also now has two albums in the top 10 of Billboard at once with Homecoming: The Live Album which peaked at no. 4. In the end, it’s nice for everyone to be able to enjoy and experience the Lemonade able and for some, to relive the feelings that Lemonade was able to evoke in people. It truly is a masterpiece of an album.
