Taylor Swift. When that name is said, what comes to your mind? A woman who is famously known for writing break-up songs about her exes? The teenage girl who was humiliated in front of everyone on live television by Kanye West? Or the awkward cat-loving woman who just can’t seem to put her songwriting pen down?

Taylor Swift, the famous singer, and songwriter is currently in the process of re-recording her past albums, with two already being released in 2021. In 2019, Taylor Swift had recently left her old label, Big Machine Records, and left without her masters after fighting to try and buy them back. Swift found out Scott Borchetta, Big Machine Records founder, sold her masters to a man named Scooter Braun. Braun was a man she was not on good terms with since he was an ex-manager to Kanye West, a man she had a bad history with, due to the very famous night Kanye West interrupted Taylor during her speech at the Video Music awards in 2010.

Now that Braun has her masters, he has all the rights to Taylor’s old music and he makes money from her. Taylor has become incredibly devastated after trying her hardest to get back her music.

“This is my worst-case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a deal at fifteen to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept,” Swift.

While Scott Borchetta and his team did not allow Taylor to re-record her songs, legally, she is allowed to do so and that is what she is doing as of right now.

After releasing her latest album, Evermore, she announced her re-recorded version of her album, Fearless, was going to be released soon. Fearless was the second studio album that she had released and created at the age of 18.

This album was famous for winning album of the year at the 2010 Grammy and is known for Taylor´s popular hits, ¨You Belong With Me¨ and ¨Love Story¨. Fearless (Taylor’s Version) was released on April 18, 2021, and Taylor spent no time to waste, as she announced her next re-recorded album in June.

The next album she decided to put out was her 4th studio album, Red. Red was an album released on October 22, 2012. Red was known for Taylor’s hit songs ¨22¨ and ¨We are never ever getting back together.¨ However, to Taylor’s fans, it was most known for fan-favorite song ¨All too well¨ and her fans believed it was snubbed at the 2013 Grammys for not winning Album of the year.

Fans were excited for the new release of Red as it contained a 10-minute version of the song “All too Well.” This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red. And hey, one of them is even ten minutes long”, says Taylor. Red (Taylor’s Version) was released on November 12, 2021, and it was an instant hit, listening to the sad lyrics with the sense of nostalgia in the middle of fall was a good vibe. All Too Well (Taylor’s Version, 10-minute version) was extremely successful as it reached number 1 on the Billboard Top 100 chart.

Fans are waiting excitingly as they anticipate the next release of Taylor’s album.

“This process has been more fulfilling and emotional than I could’ve imagined and has made me even more determined to re-record all of my music.”-Taylor Swift.
