With the Boys Golf Club coming into full swing there are many questions left unanswered. Who is this new team? What goals has Coach Moreno layed out for this year’s season? Boys Golf begins in February, and concludes in June. Coach Moreno has made it clear that this year’s team is almost completely new, but that does little to stop their ability to compete at the high level. With a packed schedule this team has shown promise in the preseason. Coach Moreno said his mindset for this years team is to,
“We want to just get a little better each game and come out knowing more than we knew going into it”-Coach Moreno
Many of these new players show grit and determination, and while being put up against already established schools, they have no intentions of backing down. With little time to prepare this team has shown great improvement just in the preseason alone. Coach Moreno made it clear that,
“Each and every player on this team shows promise and potential, and I really feel like once we knock off those first game jitters we’ll be a competing team”-Coach Moreno

With a good group of kids and a determined coach the Boys Golf Team has high hopes of making a far run into playoffs. But at the end of the day Coach Moreno has made it clear all that matters is making sure all of his players excel both on and off the field, using the golf team as an outlet for frustrations and stress, Coach Moreno hops to ascend the Golf Team from a normal sport to something more alike to a family.

With an okay season last year, this is the second year of Boy’s Golf to date. Even after a heartbreak finish last year, the team’s hopes are still high for this year’s team. With almost no returning players, a fresh squad means a fresh start for a hopeful team.
