Swing Batter Batter

As spring arrives the return of high school baseball, ready to make an unforgettable mark this season! This year, there are enough talented players to field both a Varsity and a Junior Varsity (JV) team. Currently, the Varsity team holds a 3-3 record, while the JV team is off to a solid start with a 1-1 record.

This year’s team is larger than last year’s with 14 players (varsity) , bringing fresh energy, and a stronger lineup to the season. With an expanded roster many players are optimistic about their chances for success and are eager to compete at a high level.

This year’s starting lineup is:

Catcher- Alex Camacho

Pitcher- Alex Torres

1st Baseman- Jose Lara

2nd Baseman- Nicholas Lopez

Shortstop- Jadon Lopez Baez

3rd Baseman- Andrew Becerra

Right Fielder- Jose Lizarraga

Left Fielder- Alan Davalos

Coach Camacho and Padilla

Despite last year’s tough record 0-12, this season is already off to a strong start. Coach Camacho and Padilla believe they have a championship team on their hands.

“I think this baseball season will be fun, exciting, and full of competition,” expressed  #15 junior Daniel Siordia.

Although this year’s team is packed with talented players, the season is expected to be intense, presenting numerous challenges along the way. Each player will face their own unique challenges in their respective positions, pushing themselves to improve and contribute to the team’s overall success.

“ The only obstacle I think will be challenging for us is pitching. That’s the department we lack on the most” – declared #1 senior Andrew Becerra.

Overcoming challenges this season will be tough, not just on an individual level but also as a team. Facing stronger opponents will test the team’s flexibility, requiring strategic plays, quick double plays, perfecting their swings and aggressive base running. However, the challenge only fuels the excitement.

“ I am most excited to play Legacy because I enjoy playing at their baseball field and they always give us a competitive game.” – commented #5 senior Jadon Lopez Baez.

Every game this season will challenge the team to sharpen their skills, adapt to tough situations, and, most importantly, enjoy the sport they love. The competition will be fierce, but with determination, teamwork, and a passion for the game, this team is ready to rise to the challenge and make every inning count.
